Benefits

As a referral agent, you do not work with buyers and sellers of real estate directly. Rather, you refer them to an active Realtor®. The referred Realtor® will pay a referral fee (think of it as a "finders" fee) on the transaction.

You must be licensed to receive any commissions, but the benefits of being a referral agent are many:

  • No MLS membership fees

  • No National Association of Realtors® fees

  • No State Realtor® board fees

  • No Local Realtor® board fees

  • No E&O insurance costs

  • No property tours

  • No office meetings

  • Keep your license active

  • Get paid commissions
